You can contact us about privacy matters at [email protected] or by using the contact form on this website.
Information we collect
We may collect and process:
- your name, organisation, email address, phone number and region;
- details of your project, enquiry, service need or message;
- funding-readiness information you choose to provide, such as project value, country, buyer role, supplier details, documents available and target timelines;
- website form context such as selected capability routes, selected case study, active project filter and page context;
- basic website interaction events such as page views, service route clicks, project detail opens and form submission status;
- communications sent to us by email, phone, WhatsApp, contact form or other business channels;
- technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information and server logs generated by hosting and security providers.
How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and provide requested information;
- assess whether Ishtar Consultants can support a project or service request;
- prepare proposals, scopes, budgets, technical responses or follow-up questions;
- manage client, supplier and professional relationships;
- keep records for operational, legal, tax, accounting and dispute-management purposes;
- understand which services and case studies visitors use so we can improve the website and enquiry process;
- protect the website, prevent spam and maintain security.
Our usual lawful bases are legitimate interests, taking steps before entering into a contract, performing a contract, complying with legal obligations, and consent where we specifically ask for it.
Who we share information with
We only share information where it is necessary and appropriate. This may include:
- Cloudflare, which hosts the website, runs the Pages Function and stores form backups in Cloudflare KV;
- FormSubmit, which forwards website enquiry emails after form submission;
- Google/Gmail or other email providers used to receive and manage business enquiries;
- professional advisers, insurers, accountants, legal advisers or auditors;
- specialist subcontractors or delivery partners where needed for a project and subject to appropriate controls;
- funders, lenders, insurers, export credit agencies or supplier contacts where you ask us to support a funding or application route;
- public authorities or regulators where required by law.
Some suppliers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we expect appropriate safeguards to be used by those suppliers.
How long we keep information
General enquiries are normally kept for up to 24 months unless a longer period is needed for follow-up, contractual, legal or dispute-management reasons. Website interaction events are normally kept for up to 180 days. Client, supplier and project records may be kept for up to seven years after the end of the relevant relationship or project, unless a longer legal period applies.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you may have the right to request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, objection to processing, or withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent.
You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookie policy
This website is designed to avoid non-essential tracking cookies. We do not currently use advertising cookies or behavioural marketing cookies. We use first-party, cookie-free event logging for basic actions such as page views, service route clicks and enquiry interactions.
The site is hosted by Cloudflare and may use strictly necessary security, routing or performance technologies to deliver the website and protect it from abuse. The contact form also uses Cloudflare Pages Functions and FormSubmit when you choose to submit an enquiry.
If analytics or additional third-party tools are introduced later, this policy will be updated and any required cookie choice mechanism will be added.
